6,750 DWI arrests by APD in 2013 – Early numbers show 1322 DWI fatalities in Texas

The numbers were released by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) in Austin this week showing 1,322 people in Texas were killed in drunk-driving crashes in 2013. That’s compared to 1,296 in 2012. Texas led the nation in drunk driving deaths with 1,213 fatalities in 2011. Continue reading

17-year old Kyle teen arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor at “house party” where fatal stabbing occurred

Among those charged was a 17-years of age teen from Kyle, arrested for Purchase/Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor during the March 23rd “house party” where Ulises Garcia was fatally stabbed. The alcohol charge is a Class A misdemeanor. The charges stem from hosting a party where the assaults are alleged to have occurred. Upon law enforcement’s arrival to the location, the scene of the incident was found to have been intentionally compromised. Continue reading
