College Kids Perception Favors Risky Binge Drinking and Using Drugs; but Not for Smoking Tobacco

Many young adults don’t believe they’re at risk from binge drinking and using some drugs, according to findings from 2014 National Survey on Drug Use and Health. In 2014: — 26.7% of young adults 18-22 ( 5.9 million) smoked cigarettes in past month, 54.8% drank alcohol, 35.3% engaged in binge drinking, 20.7%) used marijuana, 1.4% used cocaine, 0.1% used crack, 0.3% used LSD, and 0.2% used heroin.
