180 students charged with underage drinking at University of Delaware fraternity party

Nearly 200 underage drinking were ticketed at an unofficial fraternity party near the University of Delaware on Saturday. Newark officers swarmed a small brick house that had about 200 people milling around the yard, and set up two portable toilets and several folding tables to deal with the paperwork that comes with ticketing that many people. Delaware Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement officers executed the search warrant and made 180 underage consumption of alcohol arrests, which included two juvenile arrests. Continue reading

TABC to conduct bar stings to prevent underage drinking

TABC will conduct its back-to-school operation meant to halt illegal sales and underage drinking. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) on Thursday announced the September undercover effort. The Texas legal drinking age for alcohol is 21. Undercover TABC agents will escort underage individuals trying to buy booze.
