Groups want to eliminate state law provisions that prevent big retail chains from selling liquor in Texas

You may be buying your liquor from Wal-Mart or Kroger soon if retailers can persuade the Legislature to repeal some old laws. Retailers from Dallas and Houston descended on the Capitol on Tuesday to argue that the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code is anti-competitive, an article in Tuesday’s Dallas Morning News reports.
